Is there anyway I could get this mic to work? Maybe buying a USB 2.0 extension card or a sound card with USB 2.0 ports (if there is such a thing) to put into my pc? Unfortunately my pc does not have any 2.0 ports, so I decided to buy a Hama 2.0 hub from Amazon. I then decided to plug it into an old spare laptop and what do you know, it's there in the device manager detected, it worked perfectly fine.Īfter doing some exstensive research on Google, I've found that the Blue Yeti mic doesn't work with USB port 3.0 and only uses 2.0 ports. So I've recently bought a Blue Yeti Blackout Edition for streaming after plugging it in, the mute button is a solid red colour, indicating that the mic is being powered but after looking through the Device Manager thoroughly, it's not being detected at all, even after downloading the Blue Sherpa software, still nothing.
